Indra Morris has been appointed by the HM Treasury as the latest Director General of Tax and Welfare.
Replacing Edward Troup, Morris will take up her appointment in early November, moving from her current position as Director of Personal Tax, Welfare and Pensions at the department. The Director General position is appointed by the Prime Minister upon advice taken by Civil Service Commissioner and with the approval of the chancellor.
