We’re AXA, the world’s number one insurance brand, with some 163,000 people globally and a presence in 57 countries – that’s 29% of all the countries in the world. So yes, we’re big, impressively and successfully big. But we also appreciate the merits of small and take in no more than 30 graduates a year. Not a lot, in the big graduate scheme of things. But it means a lot to you: it means you have our undivided attention. You’re one of a select few, not one of far too many.
Our Accountancy Graduate Programme
On-the-job experience combined with formal study towards a professional qualification. That’s our three-year Accountancy scheme. During the scheme, you’ll rotate through three one-year placements, each being in a different area of our business. While two of your placements will be within one of our core finance and accounting teams, your final one is up to you. You could choose to work in a broader finance, risk or strategy role. Here at AXA we’ll support you through your study towards the top accountancy qualifications, such as ACA, ACCA and CIMA, which will, of course, be fully funded by AXA. As well as paying for your course fees, study materials, examinations and membership fees and travel expenses, we’ll give you plenty of study leave.
Who should apply
We need you to be good with figures. But that doesn’t mean you have to have a maths or statistics background. You should, however, have a 2:1 degree (in any discipline/subject). And while we don’t expect you to know everything about accountancy or economics, we do expect you to be a quick and keen learner, ready to make the most of the opportunities that you’re given. You’ll also need to be geographically-flexible, as you could be based in London, Basingstoke, Ipswich, Tunbridge Wells, Bristol or Lytham.
