Summary

An enthusiastic and motivated candidate with excellent A-level results is required to provide support to assistant managers, managers and senior managers within this dynamic and fast growing Audit & Accounts department. The role involves working with a wide variety of clients including employees, entrepreneurs and high-net worth individuals, with a mixture of international and domestic financial affairs. This would suit an ambitious candidate with a desire to further their education with a professional qualification whilst receiving relevant experience and on-the-job training within a top London practice. For candidates, excellent communications skills are a must, as are the personal skills necessary to work as a team member and maintain good relations with clients. It is expected that candidates will be able to demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills and will be self-motivated.

Working with a wide range of clients from multinational businesses to entrepreneurs, the role will suit an ambitious candidate who wishes to study for a professional qualification whilst receiving on the job training.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support colleagues within the Business Group with accounts preparation tasks
  • Analysing client bank accounts
  • Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and small companies
  • Performance of accounting reconciliations
  • Progressing to the preparation of corporation tax computations
  • Working within a team and assisting on larger company accounts
  • Assisting other teams ad-hoc, Vat, Tax and Audit
  • Monitor client deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures

Success measures/performance indicators

  • Feedback from partners, managers and clients
  • Accurate completion of tasks in timely fashion within budget

Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Strong GCSE results (minimum grade B or equivalent in Maths and English)
  • Strong A Levels (minimum of 280 UCAS points in at least one numerical subject such as Maths, Statistics or Physics)
  • Support will be given to study for the AAT qualification
