Consulting – start shaping your business career

Join our Consulting teams in either Cambridge or Belfast on our graduate scheme (starting with a three month internship from June to August) and take a bold first step towards your future career. Become part of our team for a minimum of three months and get business experience that will help you really stand out.

What can you expect?

The depth of services and clients you’ll be exposed to will help you kick-start your career. You could be undertaking research and /or evaluation projects for with a wide variety of organisations, including universities, councils, charities and housing associations, as well as commercial clients that operate throughout the UK and beyond.
At RSM, you’ll be a key member of our team from day one. Our graduate programme allows you to experience working in the Consultancy team alongside current trainees and experienced members of the firm. This hands-on early experience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.
You’ll also benefit from on-the-job training from more senior members of the team and gain access to our internal training courses that will help you develop in the role.

What we look for

We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic self-starters who are always up for a challenge. Consulting is a diverse and demanding discipline, so we look for students who are organised and quick to grasp new concepts. It’s important you have confidence and are detail conscious. You’ll need to have a passion for analytics as you will often spend time analysing data both quantitatively and qualitatively whilst conducting economic research. Working alongside Senior Consultants you will gain experience with budget preparation and reporting so you’ll need excellent written and verbal communication skills. Entry Criteria

At RSM, we don’t just look for good exam results. We think passion, personality and originality are just as important.

You’ll need a minimum of:

• Grade C in GCSE English and Maths
• 280 UCAS points from your top three A Levels
• 2:1 degree in Economics or a research related degree

You will also need to be able to demonstrate strong organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills and be detail conscious.
Finally, you will need to demonstrate that you are interested in a career in research, evaluation and/or consulting.
