Join our internal audit team on a work experience opportunity and take a bold first step towards your future career. Become part of our team for up to a year and get business experience that will help you really stand out.

What does our internal audit team do?

A career in internal audit is not just about numbers and spreadsheets – join our team and discover how some of the world’s most exciting companies operate.
Organisations today face a number of risks that can stop them from achieving their goals. We take a deep look at a business to decide whether it has the right systems and control processes in place to manage these potential threats.
You’ll be part of a team that advises clients on how they can better manage their strategic, financial and operational risks. You’ll help make recommendations on how their organisation needs to improve so it is better prepared for the future.

What can you expect?

A work placement in internal audit is infinitely varied, interesting and rewarding. No client is the same so you’ll be constantly challenged. From day one you’ll have the chance to work with a wide range of public sector clients, including NHS hospitals, universities and colleges and large government departments – not to mention household names in the corporate world.
With our support, you’ll get the chance to grow professionally, with access to specialist internal courses, external training and on-the-job mentoring. Within a short space of time you’ll learn a diverse range of skills that you’ll continue to draw on throughout your career.

What we look for?

Internal auditors spend a lot of time working independently so we’re on the lookout for enthusiastic self-starters who are quick to learn and always up for a challenge.
You’ll be working on a wide variety of projects, so it’s important that you’re adaptable and highly organised. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential as you’ll be communicating at all levels, often explaining complex information both in meetings and in written reports.
If that sounds like you, we know you’ll enjoy being part of our team.
