The role

Our intern scheme runs for a period of four to eight weeks each summer and provides a unique and valuable insight into the workings of a Top 20 accountancy firm. As one of our interns you will be partnered with a dedicated mentor whose job it is to ensure your placement is both enjoyable and challenging. During your placement you will benefit from a bookkeeping course, as well as exposure to a number of teams and departments. After your placement, should you wish to pursue in a career in accountancy or tax, you will have the opportunity to consider the firm’s graduate positions where three-year training contracts are available across all our offices with a view to becoming an ACA/CA qualified accountant or a Chartered Tax Advisor.

The individual

We seek people with initiative; people who are collaborative team workers, natural communicators and able problem solvers. Above all, we seek people who are motivated by providing the highest level of client service.

Requirements

Applicants must be in their penultimate year of their degree programme, expecting at least a 2:1 in any discipline and have at least 120 UCAS points, or equivalent, gained at one sitting. You will also need to have excellent GSCE results with a minimum grade B or 6 in English and Maths.

To recognise your contribution to the firm as an intern, we pay an hourly rate and compensate any appropriate expenses. You will also leave with a reference letter outlining the work undertaken and new skills acquired – a valuable addition to your CV.
