Solving complex challenges
Companies today face ever-growing, increasingly complex tax and regulatory change. Helping them negotiate these difficult conditions requires intellectual rigour, a sound understanding of tax legislation and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. As a tax professional at Ernst & Young, you’ll have to think creatively, and learn all about the taxation of organisations and their different stakeholder groups.
You’ll get the opportunity to exercise the creative side of your brain. If your strength is solving problems and you like working in a constantly evolving business environment, Tax may be for you. Clients will turn to you to help them understand how the way they run their business affects the tax they pay. You’ll need to analyse and interpret all kinds of information, using your research strengths to keep on top of the changing tax environment. Combine this with your understanding of your client’s business, and you can really make a difference.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with specialists in an environment where you can develop yourself and pursue professional qualifications.
Our Tax programmes help you develop the skills to help our clients adhere to all the tax regulation in their industry, and managing their business activities and operating locations in the most financially efficient way. You can choose to acquire general skills or focus on one particular area in our service lines: Direct Tax, Human Capital (also Japanese Expatriate Tax Services), Indirect Tax, and Transfer Pricing (Financial Services only). At each stage, you’ll receive training and development, mentoring and support to help you take your career from strength to strength.
What are we looking for?
We’re much more interested in the kind of person you are and the things you’re naturally good at than what degree you studied at university. So we want you to be yourself and show us what you’ve got.
