Joining Moore Kingston Smith on our ACA level 7 apprenticeship training scheme means you will receive fantastic training and gain experience working in audit, accountancy and taxation for a variety of businesses across a wide range of sectors including technology, charity, healthcare and renewable energy.

Our graduate ACA programme fast tracks you to success, moving you from graduate to qualified chartered accountant in three years. As an ACA accredited training firm, we are committed to giving our employees first class training in a personal and friendly working environment.

Right from the start of your training contract you will be working with clients, getting to know their business and understanding their challenges. You will be encouraged to take responsibility early on in your training contract and you will be exposed to all aspects of a job.

Your experience will be varied; sometimes you will be working on projects lasting a few days, other times a few weeks. You will have the opportunity to work on company audits, charity audits and to work with our tax team.

The majority of our trainees will have a generalist experience but we have opportunities for those who have an interest in more specialist audit experience.  Opportunities exist with our Corporate Client Services team who focus on large and complex clients and also our Non Profit team. You can choose to do this from day one or partway through your training.

Towards the end of your contract you can consider completing secondments in areas such as corporate finance, digital transformation, forensics and tax Whatever you are doing, you will always be making a direct impact on your client’s business.

As well as learning on the job, you’ll complete a comprehensive apprenticeship training programme that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to excel in the role.

In order to be eligible for this programme, you will also need:

  • have an undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) and 112 UCAS points from three A-levels (or equivalent)
  • be available to work by September 2023
  • have permission to work in the UK by September 2023
  • be eligible to complete the level 7 apprenticeship. You will not be eligible if you have completed a Master’s in an Accountancy related subject.
