Join us to make your career your own – start now
Our higher apprenticeship programme offers an exciting opportunity to work in a busy office environment whilst studying towards a professional qualification for a two-year programme.
During this time, we commit time to help you build your knowledge, skills and practical experiences, providing genuine development opportunities to enable you to become a future leader. You will be involved initially in assisting with the preparation of tax returns. There will also be a number of administrative duties such as helping organise tax payments and payments to beneficiaries as well as preparing letters to clients and third parties. The complexity of the work will increase as you develop your work experience through the programme. Alongside the day to day duties you will also be studying for a professional qualification in Tax (Level 4 ATT – Association of Tax Technicians) or the Professional Diploma in Accounting (Level 4 AAT).
This qualification is a fantastic platform to start a career in Tax. We want you to be curious as to how to help our clients thrive and have the technical expertise to give them the answers they are looking for from their business advisers. We need joined up thinkers to create solutions to all sorts of puzzles. It’s why we offer you permanent employment from day one – you become part of our long-term solution.
Whether it is investing in a new product and raising finances, or helping families leave their legacies to their future generations or to completing the audit snapshot of the year they have had; our clients value the relationships they have built up with Mercer & Hole. Therefore on joining us, that will become your responsibility too.
There are no limits for our apprentices, you can exceed graduate progress as our track record shows. Once you have completed the programme, you can progress onto further qualifications.
